Building Envelope Supervisor Alabama
The Building Envelope Supervisor collaborates with the Director of Facilities Maintenance & Energy Management and the Chief Facilities Officer to inspect and test building envelope performance across campus. This role identifies current and potential problems and provides expertise for efficient, sustainable, and timely solutions. The Building Envelope Specialist evaluates, maintains, and improves building envelope systems, including roofs, windows, Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS), walls, insulation, and waterproofing. This position ensures that buildings remain energy-efficient, weather-resistant, and compliant with industry standards by addressing issues such as water leaks, moisture intrusion, insulation failures, and facade deterioration, offering solutions to enhance performance and longevity. A key function is to guide and oversee solutions for improving performance, including material selection, system design, and structural planning. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities Maintenance, the employee also oversees seven technicians in the General Trades shop (lock and key, painting, and general maintenance).
Architect Alabama
The Architect will work with the Director, Planning, Design & Construction, Chief Facilities Officer (CFO), VPs, campus representatives, master plan architect, project architects, and engineers to plan, design, and develop programs, budgets, schedules, plans, and specifications. He/she obtains plan approvals for projects including new construction, renovation, remodeling, grant, minor capital outlay, special repair, and tenant improvements in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. He/she provides professional support throughout construction to ensure project continuity. He/she independently manages, schedules, and tracks contractors and consultants from project inception through construction bid and completion. He/she acts as the University Building Official, responsible for enforcement of all applicable building codes and standards. He/she provides advice and professional support to the Director, PDC, Chief Facilities Officer (CFO), campus representatives on matters related to physical facilities planning in support of the academic mission of UAH. Additionally, this position is funded from construction program management fee revenue. The continuation of employment in future years depends on the funding availability of future program management fee revenue.

The Research Engineer will perform research and provide systems administration support to the RENEGADE team in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Assistant Director, Graduate Admissons Alabama
The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions serves as the primary outreach lead for the UAH graduate programs. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions she/he is a key position relating to the recruitment of graduate students. Additionally, the Assistant Director will serve as a primary recruitment contact to university graduate schools and programs. She/he will help lead the development and implementation of general recruiting and admissions strategies for UAH graduate programs. Requires extensive knowledge of admissions and recruitment practices, techniques, and procedures, preferably with a graduate population (Masters and Doctoral). Requires the ability to interpret admissions and recruitment funnel data, and to propose and execute a course of action based on that data. Requires the ability to cultivate relationships, actively listen, and recommend recruitment strategy based on identified program-specific recruitment needs. Requires the ability to understand individual prospective student needs, and to consult/respond accordingly with exceptional customer service. The position will work daily with graduate applicants/prospective applicants, and program coordinators, to help graduate students navigate the application and enrollment process. This individual is expected to play a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first- class customer service.
Material Control Assistant I Alabama
The Material Control Assistant is responsible with assisting with the handling and processing of all items received for the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and for packaging and processing all shipped items from the University. This position is also responsible for assisting with all surplus property pickups.
Registered Nurse Alabama
The clinic nurse will assist the nurse practitioner in providing health care services to students, faculty, and staff in the Student Health Center and Faculty Staff Clinics. Collaborates with fellow RN staff to ensure daily RN clinic coverage. Send and track referrals to specialists. This is an on-call position, hours may vary.
The Academic Affairs IT Business Analyst Alabama
The Academic Affairs IT Business Analyst will provide both functional and technical expertise to enable users to successfully use the university's ERP system, Banner Student, as well as other supporting technologies and platforms. The position functionally and primarily reports within the division of Academic Affairs. The position also reports secondarily to the Director of Enterprise Applications within the Office of Information Technology, ensuring effective communication, coordination with UAH's overall technology plan, and providing the AA IT Business Analyst with access to a deeper pool of technical expertise and resources. Fixed Asset Auditor I Alabama
The Fixed Asset Auditor I supports the university’s property control function by performing routine tasks related to the tracking, auditing, and documentation of UAH’s fixed assets. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting with physical inventories, data entry, and departmental coordination related to asset tagging, surplus, and transfers. The Auditor I works under direct supervision, with the opportunity to learn financial systems, state and federal compliance requirements, and campus-wide inventory procedures. Public Safety Telecommunicator Alabama
he Public Safety Telecommunicator is employed in The University of Alabama in Huntsville Police Department Emergency Communications and Operations Center as both a 911 Call Taker and Public Safety Dispatcher. Under general supervision, the Public Safety Telecommunicator independently performs specialized and essential specialized work in receiving and dispatching accurate information to appropriate emergency responders during, at times, highly stressful and intense situations. Work involves responsibility for the operation of specialized radio utilizing multiple channels and frequencies in a 911 center. The incumbent requires fast, efficient, and accurate receiving, dispatching, and processing of calls and messages from and to appropriate vehicles and personnel. Employees work with considerable independence, subject to instructions or orders to meet special operating circumstances or emergencies. The incumbent will effectively and efficiently communicate between campus law enforcement headquarters, campus police officers in the field, parking officers, student assistants, other university departments and personnel, and outside agencies. These interactions require tact, discretion, and confidentiality. Work is performed in a communications center without windows. Incumbent often works fast-paced in a harried work atmosphere, sometimes confronted by disturbing or stressful call situations. Work is essentially sedentary with occasional walking, bending, lifting of objects up to pounds, or minimal physical activities. Work requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, operate multiple personal computers and transmitters/receivers, and perceive and or discriminate colors, and sounds from multiple directions, depth, and texture. Work requires continuous repetitive arm/hand movement.

Electrician I Alabama
The Electrician I is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of the University. This employee will perform skilled work in installing, repairing, and maintaining all electrical equipment, appliances, and circuitry. The employee sets his/her shift hours within a second shift timeframe (Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM). Once the employee sets their shift hours, the schedule is considered final and cannot be altered without prior approval. The second shift is considered a shift differential pay category, if the employee returns to the first shift at any time, the shift differential will be removed.
