Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Program Coordinator provides strategic leadership for recruitment, marketing, communications, and events to advance the College of Nursing's enrollment, visibility, and stakeholder engagement goals. This position develops and implements initiatives that attract and retain students, strengthen the college's brand and reputation, and foster meaningful engagement with internal and external constituents. The incumbent will shape and communicate the College of Nursing's message to students, faculty, community partners, and other stakeholders using various media platforms.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Enrollment:
• Develop, implement, maintain, supervise, and assess recruitment strategies for prospective students.
• Coordinate and attend recruitment fairs and events.
• Manage and support "contact campaigns" to build interest in the college, track student leads, and maintain the student database.
• Plan and execute recruitment and showcase events, including facility arrangements, signage, promotion, displays, and audio/visual requirements.
• Recommend and implement targeted outreach strategies to potential students.
• Work with and supervise college ambassadors and faculty to ensure effective engagement with prospective students.
• Oversee the development of recruitment marketing materials (e.g., brochures, mailers, email campaigns) and create opportunities for prospective students to interact with faculty (e.g., campus visits, online events).
• Collaborate with the UAH Office of Admissions and Office of Marketing and Communications to design recruitment materials across media.
• Support Enrollment Management through the application life cycle, audit enrollment management data, and coordinate with academic advisors and faculty.
• Use data analyses and best practices to identify and implement enrollment growth opportunities.
• Develop, manage, and assess a comprehensive retention action plan to improve student retention, time-to-degree, and graduation rates.
• Develop an annual retention plan and assess the prior year's retention using various data inputs.
• Serve as a liaison to faculty and academic advisors to improve programs that increase or sustain enrollment and enhance student success.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on student persistence, learning, and satisfaction.
• Supervise CON Student Ambassadors to support student recruitment and engagement.

Marketing:
• Plan, develop, maintain, and execute a marketing strategy for the College of Nursing to promote programs and enhance its brand image.
• Provide marketing and promotional support, including managing communications with the University's Marketing and Communications department for local, print, radio, or TV media.
• Utilize marketing channels, including social media, and collaborate with faculty and staff to create and gather content for marketing materials.
• Manage and coordinate marketing logistics, including collateral purchasing, signage, decorations, and building design elements to communicate the college brand.
• Secure and coordinate stories, write, edit, and assist with weekly internal communications (e.g., student updates) and quarterly external communications (e.g., for donors and alumni).
• Update the college website in collaboration with the CON IT Manager.
• Maintain client and participant databases, manage marketing materials and supplies, and organize both paper and electronic files.
• Manage workflows and prepare various reports on communications and event management.

Events:
• Work with the College of Nursing Graduate and Undergraduate Program Offices to coordinate and execute student events, including Pinning Ceremony, White Coat Ceremony, Honors Day, Graduate Recognition, Week of Welcome, and others as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• 1-3 years of full-time, verifiable marketing and communications work experience.
• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools. Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of marketing and communications experience is desired.
• Knowledge of marketing platforms, etc., Emma, Survey Monkey is preferred.
• Basic graphic design knowledge using PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, or comparable software is preferred.

Published Salary (if available):

$47,584 - $53,430
