Applicant Login Research Technician II, S3 Apply now Job no: 504093 Department: Research Institute Work type: Staff Hourly On-Call Non-Exempt Location: Alabama Categories: Research - Engineering Purpose of the Position: The Research Assistant/Technician 1 will contribute to applied research investigating the effects of High-Power Microwave (HPM) environments on system and subsystem components.This position offers hands-on experience in electromagnetic testing,instrumentation, data analysis, and advanced research conducted in a multidisciplinary laboratory environment.Duties/Responsibilities• Assist in the planning, execution, andanalysis of laboratory and field experiments designed to characterize HPM-induced electromagnetic fields, currents, and voltages within representative system enclosures• Support electromagnetic modeling and simulation activities• Prepare test articles and instrumentation• Collect and analyze experimental data• Document test procedures and results• Assist in the validation of computational models through comparison withmeasured performance Minimum Requirements: • College coursework preferably in Science, Engineering, Physics, or Business• Must have moderate technical knowledge• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills• Must be a US Citizen.
