Purpose of the Position:

The Oracle Guiding Learning (OGL) / Documentation Lead is responsible for the creation, configuration, and maintenance of in-system guidance through Oracle Guided Learning (OGL), as well as the development of ERP process documentation. This role ensures that OGL delivers clear, intuitive, and up-to-date guidance for users at the moment of need. In addition, the OGL / Documentation Lead will document current and future business processes, organize resources into a searchable knowledge base, and maintain accuracy through system changes and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities Include

OGL Content Development

  • Build and configure OGL guides, smart tips, walkthroughs, and embedded videos as prioritized by the Training Lead.
  • Test and validate all OGL content in both sandbox and production environments.
  • Keep OGL content current with Oracle quarterly updates, process changes, and system enhancements.
  • Apply a consistent style guide to ensure clarity, tone, and usability.

Documentation Management

  • Capture and document current-state processes in collaboration with SMEs and process owners.
  • Develop future-state process documentation, including standard operating procedures, quick reference guides, job aids, and process maps.
  • Maintain a version-controlled document library accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation meets accessibility (ADA/WCAG) and readability standards.

Knowledge Base Development

  • Organize OGL and process documentation into a centralized, searchable knowledge repository.
  • Establish clear naming conventions, tagging structures, and metadata for easy navigation.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the Training Lead to ensure OGL and documentation are fully integrated with the overall training strategy.
  • Partner with functional leads to ensure OGL and documentation reflect accurate workflows and address user pain points.
  • Monitor OGL usage analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in project team meetings to stay informed of upcoming changes that will require OGL or documentation updates. o Provide support for other training content development when workload allows.
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Information Systems, and Technical
Writing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of experience creating system documentation, user guides, or in- app learning content.
• Strong technical writing and content management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to content accuracy.
• Strong writing, editing, and layout skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly instructions.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital content.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, content management systems, and collaboration
tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Guided Learning or similar in-application guidance tools.
• Oracle Guided Learning Content Developer certification
• Higher education ERP implementation experience, preferably with Oracle Cloud.
• Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
