Purpose of the Position:

The Admissions Counselor for Campus Visits & Events serves as part of the Office of Admissions Visits and Events team with direct oversight of the daily campus visit experience. They provide much of the initial contact and customer service within the Office of Admissions to guests of UAH. In conjunction with their team, this position is responsible for ensuring all prospective students feel welcomed on UAH's campus. They also provide support and leadership to the Admissions Ambassadors to help them enthusiastically share their stories with visitors. This position is a critical role in supporting the university's enrollment goals through its engagement with prospective students.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the selection, promotion, training, and management of approximately 40 student employees in the Office of Admissions. Training includes content related to campus tours, program-specific tours, group tours, individualized tours, the Slate CRM, tour guide certifications, relevant university policies, Office of Admissions policies, and customer service for the Office of Admissions and Campus Visit Center.
• Responsible for the creation and management of 1,800+ individual student visit schedules for 10-12 campus tours per week. Manage and organize 100+ group visits per year. Coordinate as needed with departments and offices across campus to develop individualized visit schedules for select students and groups.
• Meets with prospective students and other visitors to energetically share knowledge about UAH and the admissions process through daily information sessions and individual visits.
• Coordinates with Admissions operations staff to create and maintain campus visit events and data in the Slate customer relationship management (CRM) software. Prepare monthly and annual campus visit reports for Enrollment Management leadership.
• Represent the Office of Admissions at on-campus recruitment events, including Saturday tours, preview days, open house events, admitted student events, and new student orientation.
• Coordinate with Admissions communications staff to manage campus visit promotions, website content, and event communications. Manage and monitor visitor surveys and feedback.
• Assist Admissions leadership with administrative processes, including facility reservations, supply orders, inventory management, HR processes, and other needs of the Office of Admissions.
• Attend off-campus recruitment events and support other recruitment activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Admissions for Campus Visits & Recruitment Events or the Director of Admissions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 or more years of full-time verifiable work experience in a university or college setting OR 1-2 years as an active member of a student organization.
• Must have database management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to be covered by university vehicle insurance.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a student tour guide or in a student leadership position that engages with prospective students is desired.

$44,688 - $46,960
