Applicant Login Senior Accreditation & Database Coordinator Apply now Job no: 502485 Department: College of Education Work type: Staff Full-time Exempt Location: Alabama Categories: Academic Affairs Purpose of the Position: The Senior Accreditation & Database Coordinator will support the accreditation needs of all programs in the college of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences - monitoring reporting deadlines, collecting and managing necessary data, and staying abreast of changing standards. This position also serves as the primary support for all college student information databases, including - where appropriate - coordinating with the Office of Information Technology and/or external vendors.Duties/Responsibilities:• Maintain and regularly update student information in databases external to Banner.• Serve as the primary administrator for the college’s TK20 student information database (or its future equivalent).• Oversee and update the alumni (degree completer) database to facilitate faculty and staff access for alumni engagement initiatives and communications.• Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and integrity of student records.• Coordinate data integration and consistency across multiple student information systems.• Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides for student data systems and processes.• Identify opportunities to strengthen and improve data processes and support implementation of new approaches as appropriate.• Perform research, compile and organize data for internal, state, and federal reporting requirements.• Track and report student outcomes, including progression, retention, and graduation rates.• Respond to ad hoc data requests from leadership and other stakeholders.• Assist in developing dashboards and data visualizations to support decision-making.• Collect and manage assessment data related to accreditation and program evaluation.• Provide clear, concise summaries of collected data and artifacts to support academic program evaluation.• Become familiar with accreditation standards and expectations for agencies such as CAEP, CAAHEP, ABAI, and other related bodies.• Execute sound judgement, discretion and sensitivity in the analysis, evaluation and assessment of accreditation processes. Develop, maintain, and implement processes to ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards across all accredited college programs.• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure accurate and timely collection of evidence and artifacts for accreditation.• Organize and maintain timelines for the collection and submission of accreditation-related data and documentation aligned with identified quality assurance systems with a focus on continuous quality improvement• Support institutional assessment efforts and assist in preparing materials for accreditation reviews and visits.• Provide guidance, training and support to faculty and staff on using student information systems, retrieving and analyzing relevant data, and maximizing use of data to inform decision-making.• Provide ongoing support to users of data platforms to improve data literacy and engagement.• Facilitate communication of relevant data insights to faculty and staff for use in ongoing planning, assessment, and improvement efforts.• Initial point of contact for the College of Education, Sport, & Human Sciences• Be familiar with both graduate and undergraduate offerings across the college. Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of full-time verifiable relevant administrative work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel is required.• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Desired Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree is preferred.• Professional experience in an academic setting is preferred.• Professional experience with any of the following is preferred: accreditation, database management, project management.
