Purpose of the Position:

The Research Assistant IV will perform research and provide engineering support, computer science, or general administrative support to the technical lead for research projects in the areas of flight hardware systems, including but not limited to aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, rotorcraft, and ground vehicles.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform research and provide engineering support, computer science, or general administrative support to the technical lead for research projects in the areas of flight hardware systems, including but not limited to aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, rotorcraft, and ground vehicles.
• Document the work products and present/defend the work to both internal and external customers.
• Research, learn and investigate new tools and techniques for evolving processes in Engineering.
• Assist with modeling and design support in a Model Based Engineering environment.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's degree, 0 - 12 months of full-time verifiable work experience or 2 years of college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required (no dual citizenship).

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior coursework in Computer Science or Engineering is desired.
• Experience in MATLAB or programming coursework desired.

Published Salary (if available):

$18.75 - $24.52 (FTE= $39,000 - $51,000)
