Purpose of the Position:

The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Senior Records Coordinator (transfer evaluation) to provide a timely, accurate, and consistent evaluation of all college coursework transferred into UAH from other institutions. This position will manage the Banner transfer articulation module, TES platform, and Degree Works Transfer Equivalency to facilitate consistency, accuracy, and efficiency for awarding transfer credit university-wide. This position will be responsible for coordinating timelines, communication tracking, and analyzing and providing data and reports for transfer credit processing. This position also evaluates transcripts and test scores from in-state, private, out-of-state, and credential evaluated international transcripts as well as credit by examination reports (AP/IB/CLEP/ACE).

Duties/Responsibilities
• Provides university-wide responsibility for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating various educational transcripts for academic programs and the colleges.
• Exercises professional judgment and guides faculty, department/division administrators, and students to facilitate accurate and appropriate transfer credit evaluations and articulations.
• Examine all original credit evaluations and updates for accuracy and consistency. This position is also responsible for verification that the university complies with Standard 10.8 of SACSCOC Standards.
• Manage and perform maintenance of Banner articulation catalog. Degree Works transfer equivalency and Collect Source Transfer Evaluation System (TES). This includes the API for loading encrypted test scores from College Board for Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and College Level Examination Program (CLEP), imaging those encrypted test scores and adding that information to student academic records within Banner Document Management system, Xtender.
• Communicates the evaluation process and results to students and parents. Further communication to the Colleges, academic advisors, athletic compliance director, admissions recruiters, and admissions processing concerning the acceptance or non-acceptance of credit.
• Perform ad hoc reporting or student data clean-up as needed, using Banner, Argos, Excel, and Degree Works Transfer Equivalency.
• Assists with other duties associated with the registrar's office - commencement ceremony to include set up, participation during and tear down, covering the front desk of the registrar's office suite, working on other projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience
• 3 years full time, verifiable administrative work experience in a university administrative environment
• Proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Ellucian Banner or other equivalent student information systems, reporting software applications such as Argos, and document management systems such as Xtender
• Strong interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills to interact effectively with diverse groups
• US Citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Experience within a registrar's office
• Report writing software (e.g., Argos)
• Experience with Degree Works, Ellucian Banner is strongly desired

Published Salary (if available):

40,000-42,500
