Purpose of the Position:

The Government Property Coordinator is directly responsible and accountable for all Government Property in the possession or under the control of UAH. The principal function of this position is to ensure UAH operating procedures will control and protect all Government Property that will be acquired or loaned under a federal contract or grant, in accordance with FAR 45.502(a)and UG 2CFR 200. The incumbent is required to review procedures and amend them as appropriate to ensure the existence of acceptable control in all property categories. Surveillance/audits shall be conducted as appropriate, to ensure all federally acquired/loaned equipment is accounted for and in working condition.

Duties/Responsibilities
protect, preserve, account for, control, and ensure the use of the government-titled property is for the intended purpose for which it was provided.
Maintain the custodial property record of government-titled property in their possession using sound business practices which have been approved by the cognizant ONR property administrator.
Ensure property control procedures pose no undue risk to the government and formally be approved in writing by the cognizant ONR property administrator.
ensure physical inventories are performed as often as is needed to ensure the proper control, protection, preservation, and Maintenance of the government-titled property.
Perform a physical inventory at least once every two years, in accordance with UG 2 CFR 200, Asset Management, Subpart D, Section 200.317-200.327 or frequently if so determined by the terms and conditions of the contract or grant; or the ONR cognizant property administrator.
Maintain a calendar on when to conduct a physical inventory.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's degree or two years of college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• 5 years of full-time verifiable work experience (to include 2 years within an office environment).
• Must be able to maintain Certified Professional Property Manager Certification (CPPM).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and comprehend accurately.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and university regulations governing property management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in contracts/procurement or business courses.
• Familiar with Banner and university contracts and grants property administration.
• University property management experience, in particular, sponsored research

$33,854 - $41,400
