The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Graduate School and Office of International Services seeks a customer service-focused, motivated, energetic, and responsible person to work with an exciting, supportive team. The Graduate Resource Coordinator will serve as the student-facing point-of-contact in responding to graduate student questions and concerns. The Coordinator will serve as a general graduate student advisor and will assist the Graduate Dean in communicating with the UAH Graduate Student Association. The Coordinator will copyedit theses and dissertations, serving as liaison with the UAH Library and with ProQuest. The Coordinator will assist with student training sessions and workshops on topics such as the Three-Minute Thesis competition, thesis/dissertation preparation, and graduate assistantship orientation. The Graduate Resource Coordinator will serve as an insurance liaison between UAH and the institution’s insurance provider, maintaining insurance records and reconciling these records with the Bursar’s Office. The Graduate Resource Coordinator will also assist other members of the Graduate School and International Services staff with coordinating student and alumni events.

The Custodian is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. As a Custodial Worker I, the employee's primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of the University's buildings. The employee’s duties will be performed part-time during the second shift (2:00 PM - 10:45 PM).

The primary function of the Web Content Specialist will be to publish and maintain web content across the whole of the UAH website. They will administer the website via a Joomla content management system (CMS), and assist with training on-campus Joomla users. They will also manage content for other digital platforms such as digital signage, and any other media that may be implemented on campus and managed by the Web Services team of the Office of Marketing & Communications. This is an on-site, in-office, 5 days/work week position in our Huntsville, AL office. This entry-level specialist position will highlight how content comes together and finds a home in a complex site via information architecture, user advocacy, user experience, and user journeys in an effort to make good design decisions. The content creation and implementation are diverse - from using University imagery to creating marketing imagery for the front page of the University site to formatting news releases to working with stakeholders to provide information in an intuitive layout. Purpose of Position To publish content to the University website maintaining continuity of themes, branding, designing, adjusting layouts, streamlining navigation, creating draft content pages, and increasing online presence. The incumbent will work as a member of the division’s web team.
