This Maintenance Worker is a key member of UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair for the university. The employee performs all general maintenance type functions to help ensure that all University facilities are properly maintained to provide an environment most conducive to study and work.
Contested Logistics SME Alabama
The Principal Research Scientist VII (Contested Logistics SME) is an on-call position that will support new contested logistics initiative within the Research Institute.
Pixel Cal 1FTE Alabama
The Research Technician 1 (Pixel Cal 1FTE) will be performing research in camera detector array calibration. The research will involve experimental setup and measurement, data analysis and computer modeling. New duties include 3D printing of components and setting up and maintaining the 3D printing lab.
Director, AMSTI UAH Alabama
The AMSTI Director supervises on-site support, educator professional learning, and materials to schools by mentoring, coaching, training, and assisting AMSTI Specialists, teachers, and administrators. The Director will manage the AMSTI staff and overall operations of the AMSTI site to serve schools in Alabama Inservice Region 3. Foster collaboration with other departments/divisions within the IHE; Navigating the internal structure of the IHE, as needed; Ensure compliance with the financial and administrative policies and regulations associated with the award; Attend all AMSTI-ALSDE leadership meetings; Track site performance on; and Fulfill additional responsibilities on a routine basis.

Special Security Officer Alabama
The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), a Carnegie R1 doctoral-granting research university, is seeking an experienced Special Security Officer (SSO) who is committed to excellence in the protection of restricted national security information. Candidates must currently possess an active TS/SCI clearance in order to be considered. Serving as UAH’s central Point of Contact for SCI Programs, the SSO will perform the full range of SSO security duties and assignments in support of national security programs and will direct the operation of the special security office administering the SCI security program at UAH. The candidate will interpret Director of National Intelligence, Defense Intelligence Agency, and DoD directives and consequently provide technical advice and guidance to SCI personnel regarding physical and information security standards. The SSO will oversee and have primary responsibility for the planning, coordination, management of security services support for SCI Programs, to include any related Counterintelligence and Technology Protection Programs. This position reports directly to the UAH Information Systems Security Manager, working closely with the  UAH Director, Office of Research Security for day to day operations.
Research Associate I, Step 2 Alabama
The Research Associate will support the IMPACT Project Office at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). NASA's IMPACT Project Office monitors trends and progressions across the informatics, data science, and information technology communities in order to inform strategy and develop effective solutions for Earth science data management and dissemination. Additionally, the IMPACT Project Office provides a broad user perspective as to how NASA Earth science data and information are represented and communicated. The IMPACT project fosters cross-community collaborations in order to improve all phases of the Earth science data life cycle, including processes, policies, engineering, and information communication.
Principal Research Engineer III, Step 3 Alabama
The UAS and Counter UAS Range UAS Scheduling and Operations Manager will manage range planning and operations supporting UAS programs.

Director, Accounting & Financial Reporting Alabama
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of UAH and UAH Foundation accounting and financial reporting functions. This individual will ensure that acurate financial records are maintained and in complaicne with applicable GASB and FASB standards, prepare financial statements, assist with coordinating audits, and provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making by UAH leadership. The Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting will play a critical role in safeguarding UAH's financial integrity, promoting transparency, and supporting the institution's overall financial health and sustainability.

Counselor Alabama
The Counselor provides mental health counseling with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity. They will need to be energetic to work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health through outreach events and campus-planned events. The incumbent will provide services to a very diverse population to counsel, support, and consult in regard to psychological, social, and emotional well-being, along with enhancing the student’s personal growth, development, and adjustment to University life. The Counselor will be expected to help plan and conduct suicide prevention workshops, substance abuse workshops, and other identified group needs on campus. They will collaborate with staff from Student Health Services, the university, and community service agencies in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational and outreach activities, student needs, and campus concerns. They will need exceptional time management and are expected to participate in professional development activities and training. They will provide crisis intervention and assessments when necessary, including night and weekend on-call duties as required by all other licensed professional staff in the Counseling Center.
HVAC Technician I Alabama
This employee is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of the university. The HVAC Technician I perform the duties necessary to properly maintain University Energy Management Control Systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and related controls. The individual ensures that office, classroom, and research environments are comfortable and appropriate for the assigned purpose of the facility. Work is performed Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
PASS Coordinator Alabama
The PASS Coordinator is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Program for the Student Success Center. The coordinator is responsible for supervising the PASS Leaders, observing and providing feedback to leaders, developing and implementing training, managing daily operations, and ensuring accurate data collection. Other responsibilities include supporting the recruitment of leaders, assessment of the program, and Student Success Center initiatives and events.
