Purpose of the Position:

 

The Computer Scientist will perform research and provide engineering expertise in the areas of ephemeral computing environments and API-based data integration.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform research, design, implement, and maintain API codebase with a focus on robust interface architecture and reliable data flow.
• Analyze source schemas and API documentation to write data maps and convert raw structures into functional metadata models.
• Define operating models, standard access patterns, and support processes for
ephemeral computing environments.
• Monitor system availability metrics and log operational telemetry across data pipelines.
• Deploy and manage containerized software components to support scalable, isolated execution within ephemeral environments.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• 0 - 12 months of directly related full-time work experience.
• Knowledge of software engineering processes and software development workflows.
• U.S. Citizenship is required

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• Familiarity with API design and implementation is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development is preferred. Familiarity with containerized software development is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Application Security and Development STIG is preferred.

 

Published Salary (if available):

$58,000 - $60,000
