Purpose of the Position:

The STEM Education Program Director will lead the development and operation of a new STEM Education Program. This person will perform research and coordinate internally and externally to conduct the program each academic semester and work closely with IDEAS laboratory and RI management on the program.

Duties/Responsibilities
Lead the development and operation of a new STEM education program
Manage, perform research, and conduct STEM education program outreach to participating schools
Collaborate with IDEAS laboratory and RI management as needed regarding the STEM education program
Engage with UAH facilities and administrative staff to host the program participants on campus each semester
Supervise, guide, and direct student workers

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Bachelor of Science degree in Astrobiology
Microsoft Office experience
US Citizenship is required

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

Bachelor of Science degree in Astrobiology
Experience teaching middle school students in the classroom
Experience designing experimental procedures to form secondary minerals, modeled after the Martian environment
Professional certificate in Data Analytics

 

Published Salary (if available):

$58,000 - $60,000
