The tech writer bridges the gap between developers and end users, reducing confusion and improving the overall experience. They support development of documentation, technical and operations manuals, product guides, software and material lists and help maintain center work instructions. This role collaborates with subject matter experts to translate complex technical information into accessible content for a variety of audiences.Duties/Responsibilities•Documentation Development - Create, write, and format technical documents including manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, reports, and training materials.•Content Review & Editing - Review, revise, and edit existing documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.•Internal Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with engineers, program staff, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy of all materials.•Document Management & Version Control - Maintain document repositories, manage version control, and ensure proper organization and accessibility of all technical content.• Develop and implement documentation standards, templates, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency across projects. Minimum Requirements: •Bachelor's degree - preferably in science, engineering, or business or an equivalent combination of education and experience; entry level.; 0.75 years full-time work experience.•Experience in Technical Writing, Communications and Configuration Management within a UAH University Research Center.•0.75 or more years of full-time work in a related aerospace field.•Familiarization with the UAH Configuration Management processes.•Security Clearance attainable.•US Citizenship only.
