Purpose of the Position:

The Transfer & Dual Enrollment Admissions Counselor is a key position in supporting both incoming dual enrollment and transfer students. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dual Enrollment program to ensure dual enrollment students successfully enroll at UAH. They will also provide support to incoming transfer students through early reviews of transferable credit to help these students prepare for their transition to UAH. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment, this position will also collaborate significantly with the Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Meet with incoming transfer students to review transcripts and assess equivalencies with courses offered at the university
• Determine transferability of credits and provide unofficial course articulations to assist students in understanding how their credits may transfer
• Support UAH's Dual Enrollment partnerships by managing the admissions processes for dual enrollment with students, their parents, and their high school officials
• Ensure students are registered appropriately, maintain continuing requirements for dual enrollment, and promptly report necessary information back to the partner high schools
• Support recruitment of incoming dual enrollment and transfer students by traveling to community college and high school partners
• Work closely with the Registrar’s Office to access and interpret transfer credit policies and guidelines
• Communicate regularly to ensure accurate and up-to-date information regarding course equivalencies and transfer processes
• Manage student data and course articulation information in the SIS and recruitment CRM
• Represent the Office of Admissions at on-campus recruitment events, including preview days, open house events, admitted student events, and new student orientation
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Recruitment and/or the Director of Admissions

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 or more years of full-time verifiable work experience in a university or college setting OR 1-2 years as an active member of a student organization.
• Must have database management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to be covered by university vehicle insurance.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in student recruitment or academic advising.

Published Salary (if available):

$40,000 - $46,960
