Purpose of the Position:

The Principal Research Scientist will perform comprehensive research, and provide technical expertise and support to the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) in the area of directed energy.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive research and provide technical expertise and support to the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) in the area of directed energy
• Provide leadership, oversight, mentoring and technical support to management and technical staff as related to directed energy
• Provide subject matter expertise, insights and guidance to leverage innovation and deliver solutions for key Army issues

Minimum Requirements:

• Ph.D. with 156 - 162 months (13 - 13.5 years) of full-time work
experience, or a professional equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• 20+ years of experience of increasing levels of responsibility with the Army/DoD.
• Expertise in Directed Energy technologies.
• 5+ years program/product management.
• US citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications:

• Ph.D. with 168+ months (14+ years) of full-time work experience, or a professional equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• 25+ years of experience of increasing levels of responsibility with the Army/DoD.
• Expertise in Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies.
• 6+ years program/product management.

Published Salary (if available):

$258,286 - $262,500
