This includes strategic leadership in support of UAH’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) modernization project, representing the needs of core financial functions including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, procurement, bursar, and payroll accounting. In partnership with the University’s System Integrator, this individual will help ensure successful design, configuration, and adoption of the system across finance units. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to transformation at UAH and to shape the future of finance operations at a leading public research university.Key Duties and Responsibilities ERP MODERNIZATION-Serve as Finance Implementation Lead for UAH’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) modernization project.-Leverage knowledge of finance and general accounting best practices to recommend, influence, and implement innovative and continuous improvements to financial operations and procedures.-Collaborate closely with implementation partners, the Office of Information Technology, and campus stakeholders to gather requirements, validate configurations, conduct testing, and help ensure a successful system rollout.-Lead functional decision-making on system design, chart of accounts structure, workflow automation, and compliance controls.-Coordinate end-user training and change management strategies with the Change Management Team to help ensure effective adoption across all finance departments and campus.-Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and risks to help ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.ONGOING STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP (POST ERP IMPLEMENTATION AND BEYOND)-Lead high-impact initiatives across Financial Affairs focused on business process transformation, technology enablement, and organizational effectiveness.-Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and resolvinginefficiencies in workflows, reporting, and service delivery.- Promote data-informed decision-making by enhancing the Finance Division’s analytics capabilities in partnership with the Financial Planning and Analysis team -Support the CFO in executing strategic priorities and aligning operational initiatives with institutional goals.-Partner with IT, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to evaluate and implement future technologies and system enhancements. Coordinate successful implementation and campus-wide adoption with the Change Management team.-Serve as a trusted advisor and project sponsor for divisional projects that modernize services and elevate stakeholder satisfaction. Minimum Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.-A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting businessoperations.-In-depth knowledge of public sector or higher education financial operations.-Certified Public Accountant-Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and engaging with diversestakeholders.-Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.-Demonstrated ability to manage change in a complex organizational environment. Desired Qualifications: -Experience with ERP implementation and/or modernization relative to financial services.
