This role supportsboth Science and Technology initiatives and fielded weapon systems.Responsibilities include overseeing system design, development, testing, andanalysis; managing lab experimentation such as antenna measurements andhardware-in-the-loop testing; and mentoring a diverse team of lab personnel,researchers, faculty, and students at both the undergraduate and graduatelevels.Duties/Responsibilities• Provide leadership, perform research, manage, and support the design, development and testing of advanced radars, sensors and non-kinetic systems testing to include microwave and electromagnetics to further the research in this area by collecting pertinent data and related physical phenomena associated with operations and effects.• Support lab operations and experimentation, to include design, setup,instrumentation and data collection, results of testing and post-test data analysis working within the directed energy team.• Prepare documentation and delivering test results and presentations within thecommunity.• Serve as a subject matter expert to the University and the community in RFtechnology development, contributing to the education of students and offeringlectures to expand workforce development.• Serve as a lead, work closely with, and collaborate with scientists, engineers and program managers to support development and execution of complex scientific programs and research projects.• Perform strategic planning and developing a vision for the University in systemdevelopment and integration. Minimum Requirements: • Ph.D. with 12.5 -13 years of work experience in weapon system development and test, or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.• Must have supervisory and technical leadership experience• Active TS security clearance• U.S. Citizenship is required Desired Qualifications: 35+ years of work experience is preferred.
