Purpose of the Position:

The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Senior Records Coordinator (Degree Audits) to certify that candidates for undergraduate and graduate degrees satisfy all requirements. The incumbent officially certifies candidates for degrees, coordinates graduation and commencement activities for the Office of the Registrar, purchases diplomas and other graduation supplies, and assists students, faculty, and staff within the areas of records and registration. This position works with Ellucian Banner, Degree Works, and Argos. Other duties may be assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform degree audit analysis of degree candidates, ensuring that college specific requirements are being met and university specific requirements are being met.
• Award undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates including adding honors designations for appropriate students.
• Scan any relevant documents into Xtender/BDM document management system including final degree audits, programs of study, etc.
• Update Ellucian Banner with degree status at every state through the process - applied, audited, and awarded.
• Communicate those updates to students and professional advisors as needed.
• Assist with preparation of commencement activities, including but not limited to, commencement set up and tear down, maintaining an inventory of commencement articles, serving as a commencement leader for actual ceremonies, staffing commencement related events such as Countdown to Cap and Gown.
• Train end users on Degree Works software overall use, including training with the exceptions management tool within Degree Works and adding items to the FAQ page used by all Degree Works users.
• Update and communicate curriculum changes as needed to meet approvals designated by college representatives or at the request of the student. This includes waivers, substitutions, and exceptions which may affect graduation term and registration changes.
• Provide clear, courteous communication with all relevant parties including students, staff, advisors, faculty, colleagues, and the general public.
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience
• 3 years of full-time verifiable administrative work experience in a high-volume environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Banner (or other similar SIS), and reporting software applications (Argos)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent customer service skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in a university administrative environment
• Experience with Banner and Degree Works
• Experience with report writing
• Experience in student records management

Published Salary (if available):

40,000-42,500
