Purpose of the Position:

The Research Associate II will provide geospatial and information technology assistance and specialization for the Inter-Agency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) in the Earth Systems Science Center. The candidate will be expected to work on data science issues in research and operational frameworks.
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or a related field)or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience
• 18-21 months of full-time verifiable work experience
• Proven experience in using climate and weather data for earth-atmosphere applications
• Extensive experience in using Google earth engine for data analysis
• Extensive programming experience
Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience is preferred
• Proposal writing experience
• Experience in projects related to climate science applications is desired
Published Salary (if available):

$52,500 - $56,249
