Groundskeeper/Landscaper III Alabama
This employee is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair for the University. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, Grounds & Landscape Management, the Landscaper III (Landscape Specialist) will provide high-level proficiency and skills regarding a wide array of technical landscape functions to ensure proper installation and maintenance of UAH grounds and landscape.
Research Scientist I, Step 3 Alabama
The incumbent will undertake research in the general field of low-temperature plasma (LTP) physics in the context of solar and space physics. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Space Weather Summer Camp. This will include recruiting student participants at UAH and throughout AL, planning the program in coordination with CSPAR staff and our German and South African partners, developing the program of projects and the mentors for each project, supervising and mentoring the student participants both at UAH and at the international camp locations. Must be capable of traveling internationally.

We are seeking a motivated Research Scientist to join our team and lead cutting-edge environmental modeling efforts. The incumbent will manage large-scale biophysical models, including hydrological and crop models to insure ensure robust calibration, validation, and insightful analysis to support decision-making. Other responsibilities include to design and maintain efficient programming workflows for data processing, model integration, guarantee accuracy, reproducibility, and clear documentation. This role will leverage remote sensing and GIS, conduct spatial and temporal analyses of complex environmental datasets, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive impactful research. The position also offers opportunities to present findings through reports, presentations, and visualizations, as well as to contribute to scientific publications and technical reports that advance the field.
Asst Dir, Early Learning Center Operations Alabama
The Assistant Director Early Learning Center Operations will work closely with and serve as the operational lead for the Rise classrooms, providing training and oversight on matters of licensing, orientation, and daily operations in accordance with ELC and university policies, procedures and guidelines, Alabama state licensing requirements, and NAEYC accreditation standards. Research Associate II, Step 4 Alabama
The Research Associate will support the IMPACT/ODSI Project Office at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). NASA's IMPACT/ODSI Project Office monitors trends and progressions across the informatics, data science, and information technology communities to inform strategy and develop effective solutions for Earth science data management and dissemination. The IMPACT/ODSI Project Office also provides a broad user perspective on how NASA Earth science data and information are represented and communicated. The IMPACT/ODSI project fosters cross-community collaborations to improve all Earth science data life cycle phases, including processes, policies, engineering, and information communication.
Child Care Assistant Alabama
The Wraparound Classroom Assistant and Daytime Floater will function in two primary roles: 1) as a substitute teacher/caregiver during the UAH Early Learning Center's primary daytime program (8:00am - 2:30pm) when full-time teaching staff are absent, or providing extra assistance in classrooms when full-time staff are present, and 2) as the lead caregiver in a wraparound program classroom (7:00 - 8:00am and/or 2:30 - 5:30pm). As a Custodian, the employee's primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of the University's buildings. The employee’s duties will be performed full-time either within the first shift hours (5:00 AM - 1:45 PM) or the second shift hours (2:00 PM - 10:45 PM, depending on current staffing needs within the unit.
