The candidate will be expected to work on data science issues in research and operational frameworks.Duties / Responsibilities• The candidate will develop and implement software across multiple projects.• Communicate in written and oral format with UAH and NASA IMPACT team members.• Present at major conferences.• Write peer-reviewed publications.• Write reports as needed. Minimum Requirements: • Master's degree in Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience• 2.5 - 3 years of full-time verifiable work experience• Proven experience in database creation and management for atmospheric applications• Proven record of publishing peer-reviewed papers• Extensive experience in using remote sensing data for earth-atmosphere applications• Experience in Data Visualization and Machine learning Desired Qualifications: • Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience is preferred• Experience in working with Google Earth Engine for earth-atmosphere applications is desired• Proposal writing experience is preferred• Experience in projects related to climate science applications is desired Published Salary (if available): $88,528 - $94,170 Advertised: Dec 20 2023 Central Standard Time Applications close: Back to search results Apply now Refer a friend Send me jobs like these We will email you new jobs that match this search.
