Child Care Assistant Alabama
The Child Care Assistant will function in two primary roles: 1) as a substitute teacher/caregiver during the UAH Early Learning Center's primary daytime program (8:00 am - 2:30 pm) when full-time teaching staff are absent, or providing extra assistance in classrooms when full-time staff are present, and 2) as the lead caregiver in an after school program classroom (2:30 - 5:30 pm). Position duties may involve feeding children, diapering and/or assisting with potty training, administering basic first-aid for injuries, and interacting with and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, including those with special needs.
Accounting Analyst III Alabama
The Accountant Analyst III, Financial Reporting plays a critical role in providing a high - level view and operational support accounting, reporting, and policy services to UAH stakeholders. This position assists in managing UAH's complex accounting structure consisting of numerous funds, day-to-day accounting activities, and closing of accounting records. This position is further responsible for preparation of financial reports and analysis, development and maintenance of financial systems, and development and implementation of financial policies.

The After School Care Assistant works under the general direction of the Director. The lead ASC teacher oversees scheduling and lesson planning. The After School Care assistant independently manages the learning environment in their assigned classroom. The ASC teacher has the ultimate responsibility for the classroom environment. However, the incumbent works closely with the lead ASC teacher to maintain an appropriate learning environment.
Digital Learning Specialist Alabama
The Digital Learning Specialist will work with the Office of Professional and Continuing Education (OPCE), subject matter experts, staff, internal and external partners, and students to support the learning and strategic objectives around academic excellence, pedagogical, course, and curriculum development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and others to regularly assess course and program revision needs, and evaluate new or enhanced programming, digital tools, and solutions that support and/or enhance the learner experience. The Digital Learning Specialist is responsible for the design and development of online learning content, the implementation of technology solutions, and the provision of support and training to users. The Digital Learning Specialist must have a set of skills to excel in their role. These skills include, but are not limited to, a strong knowledge of educational technology, instructional design skills, technical skills, and strong communication skills.
Material Control Assistant I Alabama
The Material Control Assistant is responsible for assisting with the handling and processing of all items received for the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and for packaging and processing all shipped items from the University. The position is also responsible for assisting with all surplus property pickups.
Police Officer Alabama
The Police Officer, with moderate supervision, is responsible for the protection of life, property, and facilities of the University community through the proper administration and enforcement of regulations and laws in conformance with standard law enforcement practices in an institution of higher learning. These duties may involve an element of personal danger. Research Associate I (step 2) Alabama
The Research Associate will support the IMPACT Project Office at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). NASA's IMPACT Project Office monitors trends and progressions across the informatics, data science, and information technology communities in order to inform strategy and develop effective solutions for Earth science data management and dissemination. Additionally, the IMPACT Project Office provides a broad user perspective as to how NASA Earth science data and information are represented and communicated. The IMPACT project fosters cross-community collaborations in order to improve all phases of the Earth science data life cycle, including processes, policies, engineering, and information communication.
HVAC Technician II, Housing Alabama
The HVAC Technician II performs the duties necessary to properly maintain the University’s HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and related controls in campus housing facilities. In addition, he/she performs general maintenance duties when needed.

The Research Associate III will provide land surface remote sensing, synthetic aperture radar, and GIS expertise focused on research and development activities supporting the identification of impacts from natural disasters, including earthquakes, landslides, land surface change, wildfires, severe weather, floods, and other hazards, in support of the NASA Disasters Program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and supplemental visible/near-infrared remote sensing experience. They are expected to support a team focused on disaster response, risk, and resilience activities that include novel and innovative research that culminates in peer-reviewed publications and near real-time application outcomes.
Research Associate II (step 1) Alabama
The Research Associate II provides land surface remote sensing, synthetic aperture radar and GIS expertise focused on research & development activities supporting the identification of impacts from natural disasters, including earthquakes, landslides, and land surface change, wildfires, severe weather, floods, and other hazards, in support of NASA activities, including the NASA Earth Science Applied Sciences Disasters Program. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience with applications of synthetic aperture radar and should have hands-on experience through education or past work in land surface remote sensing. The candidate should have familiarity with meteorological concepts and common types of Earth science hazards/disaster scenarios. The candidate will be expected to support a team focused on disaster risk, resilience, response, and recovery activities that include novel and innovative research that culminates in peer-reviewed publications and near real-time application outcomes.

The incumbent will be operating, aligning, and characterizing lasers, employing spectroscopic techniques for the identification of gain material properties, and researching nonlinear optics effects in fiber lasers such as stimulated Brillouin scattering, stimulated Raman scattering, thermal mode instability, self-phase modulation, and exploring methods for efficiently phase matching diode lasers.
