The Office of Development in the Division of University Advancement at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) seeks a Development Writer/Editor to produce and perfect written content, in both print and electronic formats, that effectively communicates all fund-raising facets to a vast range of specific audiences. This position is essential in supporting the communications of the Office of Development team and the University community at-large, by assisting in fund-raising and marketing efforts. The department is seeking an experienced, creative, and compelling storyteller with a passion for producing high-quality, donor-facing proposals, solicitations, and stewardship materials. As a critically important member of the fundraising team, the Development Writer will partner closely with key members to collect, distill, and accurately interpret programs and initiatives and effectively express information in the form of compelling and visionary fundraising collateral to support UAH’s front-line fundraisers, often on short deadlines. Additionally, the Development Writer will author important donor stewardship materials such as acknowledgment letters, programmatic and giving-society updates, web updates, reports, brochures, and Development collateral.
