Principal Research Scientist IV, S2 Alabama
The purpose of this position is to provide technical leadership and operational oversight for the research, development, design, testing, and characterization of advanced disruptor technologies and explosive systems. The role is responsible for planning, executing, and managing complex experimental programs involving fluid jets, shock waves, internal and terminal ballistics, and explosive tools. This position ensures the successful design and implementation of test configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition, and delivers high-quality technical documentation, reports, and presentations to government sponsors and technical stakeholders. As the organizational subject matter expert in disruptor technologies and characterization, the incumbent drives innovation, supports mission-critical research objectives, and ensures technical excellence in experimental testing and analysis.

Human Resources Business Partner Alabama
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to UAH leadership within the assigned service area, providing expertise and guidance on a wide range of HR matters. As a resource and trusted advisor, the HRBP collaborates with business leaders to develop and implement HR initiatives that support business goals and objectives. Fixed Asset Auditor I Alabama
The Fixed Asset Auditor I will provide support to the university’s property control function by performing routine tasks related to the tracking, auditing, and documentation of UAH’s fixed assets. This entry-level position assists with physical inventories, data entry, and departmental coordination involving asset tagging, surplus management, and asset transfers. Working under direct supervision of the Manager of Fixed Assets and Capital, the incumbent has the opportunity to learn financial systems, state and federal compliance requirements, and campus-wide inventory procedures. The Fixed Asset Auditor I reports to the Fixed Assets and Capital Improvements Accounting Manager and works closely with the Fixed Asset Auditor I and other Finance staff.

The Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities involved in the acquisition, at an optimum balance of cost, quality, and supplier services, of all materials and services necessary for the University’s operating needs, while keeping in accordance with the University policy and State and Federal laws. The EarthRISE Project Office, within the Lab for Applied Science (LAS) under the Earth System Science Center (ESSC), is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist with strong expertise in agricultural remote sensing, geospatial artificial intelligence, and applied decision-support tool development. A successful candidate will lead and execute applied research leveraging Earth observations to address complex, real-world challenges in agricultural monitoring, crop production systems, land management, conservation practices, drought-related agricultural risk, crop-water applications, and agricultural decision-making. This role requires strong domain expertise in agricultural applications, utilizing advanced remote sensing, modeling, and geospatial data science approaches to develop actionable information products for operational and stakeholder use. The ideal candidate will bring strong agricultural remote sensing foundations, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to design scalable approaches for large-area agricultural monitoring. Additionally, the candidate may work with multi-source Earth observation datasets, including moderate-, high-, and very high-resolution public and commercial satellite data. A geospatial data expert who can apply sophisticated AI/ML techniques directly to Earth science and spatial datasets is sought rather than an AI/ML generalist.
