Research Associate II, Step 4 Alabama
The Research Associate will support the IMPACT/ODSI Project Office at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). NASA's IMPACT/ODSI Project Office monitors trends and progressions across the informatics, data science, and information technology communities to inform strategy and develop effective solutions for Earth science data management and dissemination. The IMPACT/ODSI Project Office also provides a broad user perspective on how NASA Earth science data and information are represented and communicated. The IMPACT/ODSI project fosters cross-community collaborations to improve all Earth science data life cycle phases, including processes, policies, engineering, and information communication.
Child Care Assistant Alabama
The Wraparound Classroom Assistant and Daytime Floater will function in two primary roles: 1) as a substitute teacher/caregiver during the UAH Early Learning Center's primary daytime program (8:00am - 2:30pm) when full-time teaching staff are absent, or providing extra assistance in classrooms when full-time staff are present, and 2) as the lead caregiver in a wraparound program classroom (7:00 - 8:00am and/or 2:30 - 5:30pm). Position duties may involve feeding children, diapering and/or assisting with potty training, administering basic first-aid for injuries, and interacting with and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children, including those with special needs.

This employee is a key member of UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair for each of the University’s buildings and acreage. The HVAC Technician III performs the duties necessary to properly maintain University Energy Management Control Systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and related controls. The individual ensures that office, classroom, and research environments are comfortable and appropriate for the assigned purpose of the facility.
Athletics Announcer/Game Day Operations Alabama
The Athletics Announcer/Game Day Operations staff member will provide assistance to various athletic programs, and provide public address or broadcast commentary at UAH athletics events, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, and special events.
Research Technician, Segmentation and Propagation Alabama
The Research Technician, Segmentation and Propagation will perform and support research in the laboratories supporting High Energy Laser Research. The work will stress modeling and simulation, but will include laboratory work.
Police Officer Alabama
Purpose of the Position: The Police Officer, with moderate supervision, is responsible for the protection of life, property, and facilities of the University community through the proper administration and enforcement of regulations and laws in conformance with standard law enforcement practices in an institution of higher learning. These duties may involve an element of personal danger. Police Officers regularly conduct criminal investigations, perform searches and seizures, arrest offenders, present criminal cases to prosecutors for prosecution into district and municipal courts, respond to medical and other emergencies, write moving traffic violations and assist other local law enforcement agencies.
