Purpose of the Position:

The Administrative Assistant serves the Department of Athletics and is responsible for assisting with Human Resource duties, assisting the Budget Analyst with financial bookkeeping, payroll processing, procurement card management, and assisting the Senior Administrative Assistant with other administrative duties the department of athletics.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Provide budget reports to the Director of Athletics
• Maintains the calendar for the Director of Athletics
• Answers the phone, responds to various forms of communication for the department
• Provides support to the director of athletics and the senior administrative assistant in administrative duties
• Manages procurement card reports and records for the Department
• Assist the Budget Analyst in financial records and bookkeeping
• Assists the Compliance officer in monitoring daily reports of student athletes
• Processes deposits for the department and maintains records of gifts and other income
• Assists the Director of Athletics in processing forms for the NCAA, conference, and other entities
• Manages and processes travel reports for the department
• Processes ePAF's for the department
• Assists with payroll for contract employees by confirming background checks
• Sign off on timesheets for student workers
• Assists with record keeping for all revenue operations and game operations
• Assists with event management and game operations
• Assists with travel planning and reconciliation for the Director of Athletics

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience
• 3 -5 years of full-time verifiable administrative work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in higher education is preferred
• Knowledge of Banner Self Service is desired
• Experience with HR management software is preferred
• Experience with accounting/bookkeeping is desired

Published Salary (if available):

$40,000 - $44,000
