We provide multi-disciplinary subject matter expertise, technical team management, and logistical coordination services to program offices at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and across the federal, state, and commercial sectors. Our team employs advanced techniques in data science and novel approaches to capacity building to further the state of the art using remote sensing and geospatial technology.LAS supports and leads basic and applied science initiatives including the NASA SERVIR, SARI, IMPACT, and DEVELOP Programs. Thematic areas of support for these programs include: • Satellite remote sensing (active and passive) mission and applications support, • Land use/land cover change, ecological conservation & forecasting, and carbon cycle dynamics, • Hydrologic cycle modeling & mapping, climatology, and hydro-meteorological disasters, • Agricultural remote sensing and crop modeling, • Air quality modeling, atmospheric sciences, and health applications, • Social science applications, economic valuation of tools & services, and Gender, Equity, Social Inclusion (GESI) integration, • Geospatial informatics, GIS, data science, web development, and IT support, • Capacity building, training programs, and technical workshops for workforce development, • International development practice, proposal writing, and federal government program support, • Science communications, Monitoring, Evaluation, and learning (MEL), and project management. We are looking for thought leaders, emerging scientists & technicians, and experienced coordinators & communicators at various levels of education and experience to support our team.
