Research Aide Alabama

Research Assistant II Alabama
The Research Assistant II will conduct funded research in collaboration with government agencies (federal, state, and local), industry partners, and university organizations. The incumbent will perform computer-based tasks to support modeling, networking, and systems engineering efforts for military and other contracted projects.
Police Sergeant/Instructor Alabama
The Police Sergeant/Instructor is the highest level in the Police Series and is a first-line supervisory classification, requiring comprehensive knowledge and understanding of law enforcement methods and procedures, criminal codes and laws, and investigative techniques and procedures. Supervises enforcement duties involving general and criminal regulations and institutional rules and regulations to provide for the protection, safety, and welfare of students, employees, and property within the areas under the control and authorized jurisdiction of the agency. Plans, directs, supervises, assigns, reviews, and participates in the work of enforcement staff involved in traffic and field patrol, crime prevention, community relations, and related services and activities. Oversees and participates in all work activities; assumes responsibility for assigned special programs, projects, or department-wide functions or activities; performs a variety of administrative and technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Serves as a Campus Security Authority as defined by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
Research Scientist II, Step 2 Alabama
The Research Scientist II, Step 2, will support the testing and development of the MaGIXS-3 solar flare campaign sounding rocket mission. The selected candidate will play a lead role in ground calibration testing, perform data analysis, and actively participate in the MaGIXS-3 launch campaign. The position also includes providing technical support to the Principal Investigator for laboratory setup and conducting advanced X-ray detector characterization experiments.

They are responsible for enhancing the performance of numerical air quality modeling systems used in air quality regulatory applications, utilizing relevant remote sensing observations. The incumbent is required to produce written reports, conference presentations, proposal submissions, and peer-reviewed journal articles.
Research Scientist V, Step 4 Alabama
The on-call Research Scientist V, Step 4, will analyze lightning observations from: ISS LIS, TRMM LIS, and OTD. The incumbent will perform QA on the data and assess long term stability of LIS observations.
Administrative Assistant Alabama
The Administrative and Events Coordinator will provide essential administrative support to the Invention to Innovation Center (I2C). Responsibilities include providing moderate to complex administrative support, performing day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing several calendars, handling and creating correspondence, maintaining records, and assisting with operations. In addition, this role will coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and special events, supervise and manage event setup, and provide on- site support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance the routine administrative responsibilities with the variable needs of event coordination.

The incumbent provides proactive, high-level operational, administrative, and project management to the Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA) for a wide range of University issues, with primary focus on relations with senior administration, UAH Foundation trustees, dignitaries, donors, community members, staff, alumni, and students, in a highly visible and dynamic environment. In addition, the incumbent provides high-level project and administrative management to the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees of the UAH Foundation (UAHF). This critical position requires strong managerial, organizational, project management, and written/oral communication skills. Attention to detail and excellent proofreading/editing skills are priorities.
Research Engineer IV, Step 4 Colorado
The ESSC is in search of a Data Management and Radar Scientist to work with FARM scientists to maintain FARM-specific tactical display systems and radar siting tools, and assist with scientific analyses.
