Purpose of the Position:

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is looking for a motivated Oracle Cloud Business Analyst to play a key role in transitioning the university to Oracle Cloud systems. This role will continue post-implementation to deliver ongoing support, maximize system efficiencies, and foster continuous operational improvements.

While prior Oracle Cloud experience is preferred, technical skills will be taught on the job; candidates should come prepared with a strong willingness and aptitude for learning.

Duties/Responsibilities
Requirements & Configuration Alignment: Collaborate with the larger systems team to gather and prioritize business requirements, translate them into system configuration needs, and maintain clear communication with both business and IT stakeholders throughout the process.
System Configuration Management: Manage the configuration of Oracle Cloud ERP applications, including building new configurations and troubleshooting functional issues.
Testing & Defect Management: Participate in testing activities by executing test cases, coordinating with business stakeholders, and supporting defect resolution.
Quarterly Update Support: Support the quarterly Oracle Cloud update process, including impact analysis, testing, and coordination with business and IT stakeholders.
Change Management: Support organizational change management related to new, modified, or retired processes and systems.
Training Support: Support training teams by providing process details for creating training materials and assisting as needed during training delivery.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Support reporting needs by working with BI tools or Oracle reporting modules (e.g., OTBI, BI Publisher); analyze business data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.
Security & Access Management: Collaborate with IT to manage user roles and permissions within Oracle Cloud applications, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience in business analysis, including gathering requirements and recommending effective IT and business process solutions to meet operational needs.
· Able to troubleshoot, analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and provide recommendations to resolve problems.
· Adept at engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders, leading discussions, and ensuring a clear understanding across business and IT teams.
· Capable of managing multiple priorities, documenting requirements clearly, and maintaining accuracy in complex projects.
· Strong willingness and aptitude for learning both technical and business skills.

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP applications implementation
· Experience in business process execution and/or system configuration within Oracle Cloud.
· Experience with integrations between Oracle Cloud and other cloud / non-cloud systems
· Experience with software development methodologies
· Experience with SQL programming
· Experienced with design and maintenance of database objects, including tables, views, indexes, and schemas.
· Experience with data analysis and producing reports for business stakeholders.
· Experience with planning and executing database upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

Published Salary (if available):

$70,000 - $90,000
