This position coordinates and oversees pregnancy-related accommodations and modifications for students, develops and delivers training on Title IX pregnancy discrimination protections, and provides administrative and logistical support for the office’s operations, including budgeting, travel, and event coordination. The Resource Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for pregnant and parenting students and contributes to the institution’s broader commitment to equity and compliance.Duties/ResponsibilitiesPregnancy Accommodations and Support• Serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking pregnancy- or parenting-related accommodations and modifications under Title IX.• Review accommodation requests, engage in the interactive process, and coordinate with relevant campus offices (e.g., Disability Services, Housing, Academic Affairs) to implement reasonable adjustments.• Maintain confidentiality and ensure all processes comply with federal and institutional policies.• Track and monitor accommodations to ensure ongoing effectiveness and student support.• Maintain current knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance related to pregnancy discrimination and Title IX compliance.• Maintain accurate list and manages condition and content of lactation roomsTraining, Education, and Outreach • Develop and deliver educational programs, workshops, and informational materials on Title IX protections related to pregnancy, childbirth, and related conditions.• Conduct training for faculty, staff, administrators, and students to promote awareness of rights and responsibilities under Title IX.• Assist in the development and dissemination of campus-wide communication campaigns that promote equity, inclusion, and awareness of available resources.• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure consistent and inclusive messaging regarding Title IX and pregnancy protections.Administrative and Operational Support• Manage administrative functions for the Title IX office, including budget tracking, procurement, and financial reconciliation.• Coordinate travel arrangements, reimbursements, and logistics for staff and presenters.• Provide logistical planning and support for meetings, hearings, trainings, and campus presentations, including scheduling, materials preparation, room reservations, and technology setup.• Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases in compliance with institutional and federal recordkeeping requirements.Project and Task Support• Support other Title IX and equity-related initiatives, investigations, or compliance activities as needed.• Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain expertise in Title IX and equity best practices.• Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree, 1-3 years or more of full-time verifiable work professional work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity.• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and organizational skills.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, database systems, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams). Desired Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Law, or related field.• General knowledge of Title IX and related federal regulations, particularly regarding pregnancy and parenting protections.• Experience coordinating accommodations for students or employees in a higher education setting.• Experience designing and delivering educational or compliance training.• Experience managing budgets and administrative processes in an academic or compliance office.
