Supervisor, Electrical Systems Alabama
This employee is a key member of UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair for each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities Maintenance, the employee provides oversight for the preventive maintenance, repair, and minor renovations of all electrical, lighting automation, and life safety systems in Education & General (E&G) properties. He/she coordinates the activities of a multi-craft technical workforce, organizes workflow, arranges logistical support for facility repair projects, and inspects work for quality. He/she shall have some budgetary responsibility and record-keeping duties.
Planning, Design & Construction Administrative Assistant Alabama
This employee is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. The Administrative Assistant works alongside Facilities and Operations architect, interior designer, project managers, and leadership, providing administrative support for activities related to the planning, design, construction, renovation, and maintenance of University structures, grounds, and utilities, to support our continuing effort to provide a safe and functional learning and research environment of the campus community. The incumbent provides a variety of administrative support assignments that do not follow a prescribed routine; however, the general assignments performed ensure that activities are performed proficiently and in accordance with University standards, Board of Trustees policy, and Alabama Building Commission code. He/she anticipates needs and required action and carries out all prescribed duties
Custodian Alabama
The Custodian is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. As a Custodian, the employee’s primary purpose is maintaining the cleanliness of the University's buildings. The employee’s duties will be performed part-time during the second shift (Monday-Friday, 6:45PM-10:45 PM).
Custodian Alabama
The Custodian is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. As a Custodian, the employee’s primary purpose is maintaining the cleanliness of the University's buildings. The employee’s duties will be performed part-time during the second shift (Monday-Friday, 6:45PM-10:45 PM).
HVAC Technician III Alabama
This employee is a key member of UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair for each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. The HVAC Technician III performs the duties necessary to properly maintain University Energy Management Control Systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and related controls. The individual ensures that office, classroom, and research environments are comfortable and appropriate for the assigned purpose of the facility.
Maintenance Technician II Alabama
The Maintenance Technician II is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department and is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. The Maintenance Worker II performs all general maintenance type functions to help ensure that all University facilities are properly maintained to provide an environment most conducive to study and work.
