Custodian Alabama The Custodian is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of the University. As a Custodian, the employee's primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of the University's buildings. The employee’s duties will be performed full-time either within the first shift hours (5:00 AM - 1:45 PM) or the second shift hours (2:00 PM - 10:45 PM), depending on current staffing needs within the unit. Construction Project Manager IV Alabama The employee manages, plans, designs, and oversees a variety of construction projects (new construction, renovation, etc.) in collaboration with the Facilities & Operations Chief Facilities Officer (CFO) and Director of Planning, Design & Construction (Director), university stakeholders, and external partners (architects, engineers with these key responsibilities: • Project Development: Develop programs, budgets, schedules, and specifications. • Compliance: Obtain plan approvals per applicable codes and act as the University Building Official, enforcing building codes and standards. • Continuity: Ensure project continuity from inception through bid and completion. • Consultation: Provide professional consultation on physical facilities planning to support the academic mission of UAH. *Note: Employment continuation is contingent upon the availability of future construction program management fee revenue funding. This role focuses on facilitating projects from concept through implementation in collaboration with the Chief Facilities Officer (CFO), the Director, and project stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Project Management: Manage projects from original concept through final implementation, coordinating scope, schedules, and budgets for moderate to complex construction and renovation work. • Compliance: Ensure projects meet all contract requirements, UAH standards, and applicable building and safety codes. • Coordination: Manage and coordinate the performance of design professionals, consultants, and vendors. • Reporting: Track project progress, budget status, and schedules, providing reports and updates to leadership and stakeholders. Note: Employment continuation is contingent upon the availability of future construction program management fee revenue funding.
