Operations Manager, Building Services Alabama
The Operations Manager, Building Services assists the Director of Building Services (Director) with the following: • directing all daily activities related to the custodial functions of the university, including basic custodial operations, training, purchase of supplies and equipment, solid waste removal, management of human resources, budgets, procurement of supplies, window cleaning, pest control services, etc. • strategizing, analyzing, developing, resourcing, managing, improving, measuring, and reporting all functions related to custodial services including staff and contractors; • maintaining buildings and surrounding areas in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition to enhance the image and learning environment for the campus community; • employee may work some afternoon/evening shifts and weekends as needed to oversee in-house service, contracted services, and special projects. This employee will spend the majority of their time in the field assisting with daily operations for all custodial and building services provided by Facilities and Operations. The employee's duties will be performed full-time (Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:45 PM). The employee may work some afternoons/evenings and weekends as needed.
Supervisor, Maintenance Alabama
The employee is a key member of the UAH Facilities and Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the university’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities Maintenance, the employee provides oversight for the preventive maintenance, repair, and minor renovations of all Education & General (E&G) properties. He also provides leadership for service orders for small construction and/or alterations to existing facilities. He coordinates the activities of a multi-craft technical workforce; organizes workflow; arranges logistical support for facility repair projects; and inspects work for quality. He/she shall have some budgetary responsibility and record-keeping duties.
HVAC Technician II Alabama
The HVAC Technician II performs the duties necessary to properly maintain University Energy Management Control Systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and related controls. The individual ensures that office, classroom, and research environments are comfortable and appropriate for the assigned purpose of the facility.
HVAC Technician I Alabama
The HVAC Technician I perform the duties necessary to properly maintain University Energy Management Control Systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and related controls. The individual ensures that office, classroom, and research environments are comfortable and appropriate for the assigned purpose of the facility. Work is performed Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
