Research Associate V, S3 Colorado
The ESSC seeks a Research Associate V/Assistant FARM Facility Instrument Operator and Data Scientist to conduct field operations, including DOW and other instrument operations, maintenance, preparation, driving, and remote field-site data management. Incumbent will conduct field operations, including DOW and other instrument operations, maintenance, preparation, and driving, and remote field-site data management and quality control. The position will perform other duties, as assigned, associated with field project and related support. The incumbent will also be expected to perform the following functions: -Perform support of field operations. -Operate, drive and maintain DOWs and other FARM instruments, field logistics, and related activities. -Perform other activities supporting the logistical, promotional, technical, scientific, and educational mission of the FARM facility as necessary.

The IMPACT project fosters cross-community collaborations to improve all Earth science data life cycle phases, including processes, policies, engineering, and information communication.

Custodian Alabama
The Custodian is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the University’s 90+ buildings and 500 acres. As a Custodian, the employee's primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of the University's buildings. The employee’s duties will be performed full-time within the second shift hours (1:45 PM - 10:45 PM).
Postdoctoral Research Assistant III, S1 Alabama
The Postdoctoral Research Assistant III will undertake research in the general field of low-temperature plasma (LTP) physics in the context of solar and space physics. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Space Weather Summer Camp. This will include recruiting student participants at UAH and throughout AL, planning the program in coordination with CSPAR staff and our German and South African partners, developing the program of projects and the mentors for each project, supervising and mentoring the student participants both at UAH and at the international camp locations. Must be capable of traveling internationally.

Public Safety Telecommunicator Alabama
The Public Safety Telecommunicator is employed in The University of Alabama in Huntsville Police Department Emergency Communications and Operations Center as both a 911 Call Taker and Public Safety Dispatcher. Under general supervision, the Public Safety Telecommunicator independently performs specialized and essential specialized work in receiving and dispatching accurate information to appropriate emergency responders during, at times, highly stressful and intense situations. Work involves responsibility for the operation of specialized radio utilizing multiple channels and frequencies in a 911 center. The incumbent requires fast, efficient, and accurate receiving, dispatching, and processing of calls and messages from and to appropriate vehicles and personnel. Employees work with considerable independence, subject to instructions or orders to meet special operating circumstances or emergencies. The incumbent will effectively and efficiently communicate between campus law enforcement headquarters, campus police officers in the field, parking officers, student assistants, other university departments and personnel, and outside agencies. These interactions require tact, discretion, and confidentiality. Work is performed in a communications center without windows. Incumbent often works fast-paced in a harried work atmosphere, sometimes confronted by disturbing or stressful call situations. Work is essentially sedentary with occasional walking, bending, lifting of objects up to pounds, or minimal physical activities. Work requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, operate multiple personal computers and transmitters/receivers, and perceive and or discriminate colors, and sounds from multiple directions, depth, and texture. Work requires continuous repetitive arm/hand movement.
Deputy Director of the Aviation Systems and Counter Defensive Systems Alabama
The Deputy Director of the Aviation Systems and Counter Defensive Systems is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and advancing the university's Systems programs, technologies, and research efforts supporting the growing MDA, FAA, NASA, Redstone Arsenal, AvMC, Armed Services and Special Forces customer needs. This position will focus on driving innovation in systems development Aviation Systems and Counter Defensive Systems with significant responsibility for technical development, programmatic oversight, strategic direction, and team development. The Deputy Director will collaborate with external partners, industry leaders, and academic institutions while ensuring the successful execution of related projects and research initiatives.
Senior Staff Assistant Alabama
The Senior Staff Assistant will provide high-level administrative support for the graduate school programs and academic support to the Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
